In line with the Ministry of Education and Culture Program – Kampus Merdeka, DBS, and Innovesia collaborated to organize a workshop specifically designed for DBS interns. In this workshop, Agile concepts and practices are introduced to those who take part in the internship program as part of the Merdeka Campus Scheme. The Kampus Merdeka Program is a program aimed at students who are interested in gaining experience working in the professional world or are interested in realizing great works.
The workshop, which was attended by 37 participants, was Great and fantastic. The first discussion is about the complexity of thinking. Participants learned about change, understand VUCA and how it works within the Cynefin Framework. In this workshop, they were also introduced to The Agile Manifesto, Agile Principles, and the difference between Agile & Waterfall.
After learning the difference between the old ways of working and agile method of working, then it was time to learn about Agile Practices – Agile union, Kanban, Multitasking, and Scrum. The participants learned from history, the meaning as well as practicing work using the Scrum method.
In addition, the Trainer also demonstrated some real case studies of working with agile methods in redeveloping fighter jets, where developing the Saab JAS 39 Gripen cost 50 times less to develop than the Lockheed F-35.
All delivery methods in the workshop combine theory and hands-on practice where participants can input their thoughts on Miro while conducting guided discussions in the break room assisted by a rotating group facilitator.
