Innovation by Design for Mobility in Singapore

On October 2018, Innovesia had the chance to collaborate with OneMaker Group to try to accept the challenges of how to redesign a better mobility in Singapore. Innovesia used Design Thinking methodology to solve the problems around public transportation facilities.

Participants had successfully gone through the full process of the methodology; Inspiration, Ideation, and Implementation. They had Inspirations by formulating the current solutions problems they experienced and try to understand the roots by asking, interviewing, and observing Singaporean who use the facilities daily. After framing the insights, they generated ideas and visualized them into prototypes. By using this methodology, participants can understand the WHAT, WHY, and HOW-TO of the transportation system in Singapore.

The collaboration resulted in two outcomes, each of them provides accessibility to commute people, whether it is an access to elderlies or facilities for people with high mobility. We can see that any kind of challenges and problems even as big as mobility in Singapore, Design Thinking can be used for everyone to try to make an impact.
