BULOG (Badan Urusan Logistik) or Indonesia Bureau of Logistic is a government-owned company in Indonesia which deals with food distribution and price control (source: Wiki).
Innovesia with BULOG Corporate University held a 1-Day Design Thinking workshop, for BULOG’s millennials around some regions or areas within 4 different batches. The workshop aimed to boost millennials capabilities and to seek their potentials.
We had our first workshop with millennials from East Java and Bali region. The workshop took place at Surabaya, the Hero City, and attended by 90+ participants from different functions. Participants were separated into 10 groups with 1 facilitator on each group.
Our second attempt to hold the workshop was with millennials from Central Java, Kalimantan and West Java. It took place at Yogyakarta, the Gudeg City, and attended by 100+ participants. We felt their strong spirit in giving contribution for Bulog’s future development.
The special one during this workshop was… we had BULOG’s internal employees as our facilitators too. So, we worked together with them to facilitate the groups. We will still have 2 more workshops and we really can’t wait to have them!
Although the challenges were about the company’s internal problems, participants still looked enthusiastic to do field immersion and met their target users directly. They also enjoyed the workshop processes. At the end of the workshop, they had 10 prototypes generated to solve the problems addressed by their target users.
