Business Innovation for SMEs under The Ministry of Maritime and Fishery


Innovesia team in The Ministry of Fishery and Maritime Affairs Republic of Indonesia (KKP: Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan), to run a workshop on business innovation to increase the capacity of small medium enterprises under the ministry.

The 70+ participants were coming from maritime and non-maritime sectors to get the most of the creative and thinking process to address the challenge from a different perspective. Among them were the head of units in the KKP, fishermen, fish and maritime trader, businessmen and businesswomen in the maritime manufacturer and service provider, bankers, and social innovators.

The workshop was conducted in one full day, and at noon we spent the time to get the participants into field immersion and conducting interviews with the surrounding people. After that in the afternoon, the groups started to generate their ideas and to create a creative solution based on their findings. Most of the participants enjoyed the process and they could blend one to another in a group.
